Faeries dancing beneath the moon, whilst elves sit tapping their feet
To songs and Tunes of fantasy, in this magical place we meet
And Yes it may be a Fantasy, but to me it is surely real
For what is there inside our hearts, enables us to feel
With hands outstretched I grasp the dream, and make it all my own

In the darkIt was the complete and utter silence that I noticed first.
So quiet that it was unnerving to the point of the hairs standing up on the nape of my neck.
It is impossible to be this quiet.
There has to be a sound of some kind.
The wind in the trees.
Insects at their nightly rituals.
Traffic.
Life .
But there was nothing.
It was making me uneasy to the point that I hadn't realized I had been holding my breath.

Then came the darkness.
So encompassing that it overwhelmed my senses.
I was blind in the dark.
Deaf in the silence that my sense of smell was going into overdrive.

Cry not for mePieces of my heart, scattered on the floor
To be entwined with yours, never more

My tears, they drown my very soul
Each droplet spent, as they do roll
across the moments, that we once knew
now sadness reigns, where love once grew

I place a piece within my hand
and all I see is shifting sand

Of what we had, but is no more
mere yearning is all for me to store
Within my trinket box of dreams
Life is always, not as it seems

A blink in time can change it all
From euphoric to pity's call

A sound we do not want to hear
In most it brings the gravest fear
Of lovers found and then to part
Leaving scattered pieces,

SuddenlyGoodbyes said in too much haste,
with regrets in shades of grey.
Repressed anger and frayed emotion
with promises broken, for reasons only seen
through rose-coloured glasses,
on the faces of nameless people.

Days in monotone, clouded with desire and
the hope of disquise, given by the marionette
with no strings.
Screaming the answers we need to hear, but
still the lonliness is felt, in a room filled with
bodies with no souls.

The acrid smell of desperation is so potent, as
to take away our breath, and leave us gasping
for the very air we breathe.

Three simple words can mean so much

First Love..The mere sight of him lounging in the doorway of the cafe had me holding my breath.
Yet there he was, oblivious to my infatuation and wearing a smile of the most decadent kind on his lips.
I stood motionless, just feet away from him.
On the breeze, came his subtle scent.
Crisp, young and carefree.
How I loved the way his hair fell and shadowed the bluest eyes I had ever seen.
I sighed softly and turned to walk away.
My shoulders slumped and the tears moistened my eyes but I held them back.
Unrequieted love of the stalker kind were the words that ran through my mind.
I laughed quietly so no-one could hear and think me insane as well

The Past

Skeletons of yesterday kept closeted
behind doors that lead to no-where
Life's cobwebs framing pictures holding
sneers on the faces of days gone by

Darkened corridors lit with waxen candles
dripping like festering sores
Ever mocking echoes in drafty attics
left to howl within the wind

The silence ever beckoning
giving pallor to one's skin
Creating a chill that seeps within the bones
casting frosty images in the mind

The musty smell of yesterday with
no promise of tomorrow
Speaking of memories pressed within the
walls crying out to be set free

Wasted moments and tattered dreams written
on parchment stuffed in forgotten dra

It just amazes me that the extraordinary ART and PHOTOGRAPHY just keeps on coming........ So much Colour to feast the eyes on and the details in all the works I am promoting today is amazing. I see so much more than what is in front of me. I see what can be, will be and maybe was.
