Can you See me?My tears,  they fall so silently
No one to care or comfort me
To walk alone and wonder why
I always feel the need to cry

Confusion is heavy in my heart
I sigh out loud,  and play my part
Within this game, that dulls my soul
and breaks my spirit,  which once was whole

I see no joy in every day
What once was there, has gone away
I seek,  but never do I find
What brings to me, my peace of mind

The shadows darken all my light
I seek my refuge in the night
To hide myself amongst my fears
To shed again my lonely tears..

Beautiful DawnDawn, as it breaks
Will give as it takes
A moment of pleasure and pain
The warmth of the sun
To rise and be done
Setting scenes that forever remain

To sigh and to breathe
Is destined to leave
Creating a gap in lives to be had
Shedding a tear
and lost in our fear
Blaming regrets on why we are sad

Breaking a heart
Then tearing apart
The solace in which we are placed
Clawing our skin
To begin yet again
Begging for love in ultimate haste

Take pity on me
See more than you see
Give me courage to keep moving on
It is but a game
To lay all the blame
On love that is broken and gone

Shaking my head
Of lost faith and dread
And

Hope Eternal..Look in the mirror, what do I see
Staring right in front of me
A body with no where to go
Pain so raw, a need to know

Time is fleeting, gone so fast
Wanting more, it will not last
A second, a minute or just a day
A month, a year or come what may

Joy is found and then is gone
A memory made within a song
We see, we saw and then is spent
A glimpse in life is all that's meant

Place the sun, the wind and rain
Within your senses to play again
To feel and touch and be as one
No day complete unless it's done

Feel the love there is to give
Without of which we cannot live
Needed like a breath of air
It's truest form, so very ra

Winter WonderlandSnow blankets the fields that once were green
This Winter Wonderland which can be seen
Creating starkness in a shade of white
We gaze in awe upon this sight

Snowflakes drifting slowly to the ground

                     Floating softly without a sound

                     Placing shapes upon this earth

                     Fill

Uttered in Silence..Talking in whispers
So no-one can hear
Cringing in madness
shaking in fear

My mind is a blank
and yet I still dream
Of yesterdays pain
the angst I have seen

My tears they do fall
I scream out your name
No-one is here
You never came

I writhe in my bed
No sleep to be had
A name etched in blood
has driven me mad

Insanity plays
the strings of my heart
A mournful tune
that keeps us apart

I need you to see
who I really am
Not who you want
I don't give a damn

Words of the soul
that cuts me so deep
Blood that is spilled
as angels do weep

My eyes I do close
and yet I can see
There is no tomorrow
For you or for me

Free to FeelThis pain I feel, though fleeting
Will mar my wounded heart
It stains a picture perfect,
and ends what we did start
A vision of what may of been,
was spied when we did part

I hear my sigh upon the wind
and close my eyes so tight
To dream within my fantasy,
A pure and sensual sight
A closeness that we crave to feel
Shredding darkness with rays of light

As humans, we are selfish
and take more than we give
we need to see our fragility
and give substance to how we live
To free what we have hidden,
Teaching souls, how to forgive

So dream I will, and give my love,
To one who may not stay
Tis better than not knowing

Thinking out LoudI hide neath my skin
and smile from within
At all that passes me by
I shout out a word
That cannot be heard
In syllables that float to the sky

I snicker and sneer
As I quell all my fear
and place it far from my sight
Laugh though I could
and surely I would
placing darkness into the light

My hands they do shake
as I continue to take
What I believe belongs to me
I have to be strong
and right all my wrongs
placing joy in my recovery

Moments are rare
When we really care
To see beauty wherever we look
I crawl from inside
No longer to hide
My soul now an open book

Time is our gift
To give one a lift
So believ

Hopes RenewalMy play with words is simple
Just saying what I feel
Hoping you can hear me
Praying that you heal

We all fall by the wayside
recover, though we must
Find our strength and courage
Learning when to trust

Though pain is meant to guide us
Tis, a hard road that we tred
Searching where we all belong
Walking tall and not with dread

Our love we give so freely
and yet we are so torn
From what is seen as happiness
Is shattered and filled with scorn

We look within for answers
Searching far and wide
Our hearts filled with our memories
No reason then to hide

Tears will cleanse our soul
and help us start again
To find a be

Just Me..I am really struggling here.
Not seeing the light in day and being swallowed by the darkness of the night.
Voices pound my head incessantly and shriek shrill messages until my hands cover my ears to block out what I do not want to hear.
But it doesn't help they still find their way into my mindspace.
Screaming.
Shouting.
Cursing.
Laughing.
Mocking.
Oh how I hate what they do to me.
How can I be alive and still breathing when I am in so much pain.
This is not me all the time, in fact I am just like you.
I walk, talk, see and breathe the same air.
But inside I am a twisted, broken mess of emotion.

So profound in its complexity
Confusion rampant in my mind
Seeking still, but will I find?

Honesty drawn from deep within
To shield my heart from what is sin
Dark shadows fall to cast aside
To contemplate, but yet abide

I yearn for who I used to be
Filled with hope and so carefree
A strength apparent in every step
With stories told and memories kept

Upon the ground I kneel once more
To count the cost of what's in store
My prayers unanswered to this day
I beg, I plead, once more I pray

Tempered platitudes upon my tongue
To scream unheard to old and young
I quench my need to end it all

Drifting in the breeze,
Thoughts of you resurface
To bring me to my knees

I dream you right before me
The wind within your hair
A smile upon your ruby lips
Our lives without a care

But then there came November
and the rain changed into snow
It made your heart as cold as ice
and beckoned you to go

We drifted and we parted
No longer two as one
Just looking back in sorrow
At what our love had done

From what was once so special
was now a tangled mess
Regrets and angst embedded
upon my wedding dress

You left me at the altar
On that cold November day
To stand so lost and lonely
While you went so far away

So here I am

Whispers in the WindLife goes on midst whispers in the wind
Of where I'm going to and where I've been
All secrets stored in the memories made
The hello's said and goodbye's bade

Of friends once found and then to lose
In choices found and then to choose
Seldom seen of what is crystal clear
To haunt us yet within our fear

Of loneliness and the loveless still
To mask our pain against our will
A scent of purpose instils us yet
with courage and hope to see us let
us open our hearts to what is good
Our souls as spiritual as they should
Place us where we are meant to be
Amongst the glades of serenity

Each day a trial and triumph will
Beget of those wit

Cry not for mePieces of my heart, scattered on the floor
To be entwined with yours, never more

My tears, they drown my very soul
Each droplet spent, as they do roll
across the moments, that we once knew
now sadness reigns, where love once grew

I place a piece within my hand
and all I see is shifting sand

Of what we had, but is no more
mere yearning is all for me to store
Within my trinket box of dreams
Life is always, not as it seems

A blink in time can change it all
From euphoric to pity's call

A sound we do not want to hear
In most it brings the gravest fear
Of lovers found and then to part
Leaving scattered pieces,

Tragedy's MuseBlame me not, for I am a disillusioned soul that's lost their way,
midst many a broken promise and shattered dreams
I see, before me, an enveloping darkness that is threatening
my sanity, akin to tempests of somber misconception

Tears fill these clouds to bursting and droplets of their pain fall like
rivulets on unsuspecting passersby with no purpose in their stride
Surprise is etched on their faces as hands wipe the wetness
from their skin, in a hurried fashion, seemingly alike a scalding heat

Sensitivity being an emotion hidden behind forgotten trysts and the
never-ending confusion that to care is the ultimate betrayal

A Lonely ChristmasOne dark and lonely Eve
Was seen a beggar's plight
No-where to lay his head
On this cold and wintry night

The clothes he wore were ragged
His face was lined with age
He shivered with destitution
But he held in all his rage

He knew that it was Christmas
by all the fairy lights
The trees were decorated,
a bright and cheery sight

For him this held no meaning
There was no-one to care
He had no family of his own
With whom this day to share

No presents could he give
No eggnog would he drink
A sad and lonely man
Just tettering on the brink

This should not be allowed
to happen in such a way
We all deserve a Christmas

So hard to tell when all is entangled in a web

Hurray the Circus is coming to Town......

Rainbow coloured clowns in funny clothes
Big smiley faces and red buttoned nose
Acrobats on horses in costumes so bright
Lions and tigers that give us a fright
Trapeze they are called as they fly through the air
Without a net and without a care
Dancing Bears and Magicians too
Elephants following two by two

Popcorn and Hotdogs and candy

IndecisionA soul I am, thats lost my way
Midst the confusion of today
No purpose or zest left in my step
Leaving me shallow, and bereft
The promise in today has come and gone
Taking the tune from within my song

Dark Shadows cast upon the ground
Silently, yes, without a sound
"But" I say "This cannot be"
For You are You and I am Me
And with this life I have to make
For much is here that is at stake

I sigh and think "Where do I start?"
I place my hand upon my heart
Please open up and let me free
Let me see the joy, there is to see
I could not glance in front of me
What should be clear, was perplexity

My Sea.............I walk, I sit, then gaze breathlessly
Inhaling this scene of pure serenity
Such beauty in this moment found
The music, to my ears, this sound
Of crashing waves and mystery deep
With struggles it intends to keep

I sigh when thinking of the souls
lost within the deep blue folds
That something tangible and yet so raw
Can leave you wanting so much more
I tremble as I smell the salt
Mixed with pain and no-ones fault

I look for miles and all I find
Is promise that was meant to bind
Amidst confusion and love's sweet hurt
These grains of sand that turn to dirt
Within my hands it seeps to dust
The sadness torn in loss of trust

A GIFT SO TRUEFrom within the shadows of our past
We reap the benefits they may cast
To learn to shine and shed our fear
Our hearts no longer bleed a tear
Come dance with me and laugh and play
Our souls entwined to find a way

Life is ours to share and live
To love another as well as give
Faith to those who kneel and pray
To share the goodness in every day
Friendship is hope to those with none
And warms our soul as the brightest sun

I give to you just who I am
A simple being who gives a damn
I speak but what my heart does feel
Each word is true and very real
So every day a blessing be

Cry not for the flower that once was
Or the way of nature or just because
For you see it is this life we seize
Our aim to be or just to please

The struggle of each day that comes
So hard or simple is the bee that hums

We fight within to find our way
