Literature Text

A cat upon a roof did sit, as cheeky as can be
He spied an owl up in the sky and wondered merrily

"Oh pretty bird" he spoke so soft, "Come sit beside me here"
"To gaze upon the shiny stars that beckon us so near"

The owl did look upon the cat, but sensed it was not true
To hear these words within a purr, a trick he surely knew

The moon that shone within the sky, made clear the cats meow
Only feathers fluttered on the breeze to show the cat just how

An owl is so much wiser still, than any pussy cat
"So sit upon your roof alone" was all the owl did spat

So hence became the rivalry of birds and feline fair
The cats they chase but never catch the owls upon the air..
A bit of fun I thought up after seeing this lovely art by :iconwantou:
