Hope Eternal..Look in the mirror, what do I see
Staring right in front of me
A body with no where to go
Pain so raw, a need to know

Time is fleeting, gone so fast
Wanting more, it will not last
A second, a minute or just a day
A month, a year or come what may

Joy is found and then is gone
A memory made within a song
We see, we saw and then is spent
A glimpse in life is all that's meant

Place the sun, the wind and rain
Within your senses to play again
To feel and touch and be as one
No day complete unless it's done

Feel the love there is to give
Without of which we cannot live
Needed like a breath of air
It's truest form, so very ra

Uttered in Silence..Talking in whispers
So no-one can hear
Cringing in madness
shaking in fear

My mind is a blank
and yet I still dream
Of yesterdays pain
the angst I have seen

My tears they do fall
I scream out your name
No-one is here
You never came

I writhe in my bed
No sleep to be had
A name etched in blood
has driven me mad

Insanity plays
the strings of my heart
A mournful tune
that keeps us apart

I need you to see
who I really am
Not who you want
I don't give a damn

Words of the soul
that cuts me so deep
Blood that is spilled
as angels do weep

My eyes I do close
and yet I can see
There is no tomorrow
For you or for me

Just Me..I am really struggling here.
Not seeing the light in day and being swallowed by the darkness of the night.
Voices pound my head incessantly and shriek shrill messages until my hands cover my ears to block out what I do not want to hear.
But it doesn't help they still find their way into my mindspace.
Screaming.
Shouting.
Cursing.
Laughing.
Mocking.
Oh how I hate what they do to me.
How can I be alive and still breathing when I am in so much pain.
This is not me all the time, in fact I am just like you.
I walk, talk, see and breathe the same air.
But inside I am a twisted, broken mess of emotion.

Sweet Mysteries of LifeThe night sky holds all our secrets
Of lovers lost under the yellow moon
Dreaming of yesterday in the haste of today
Weaving words that will only get lost in tomorrow

A wilting rose dies a slow death
bereft of the sense of purpose
To be mourned as a man cries for his loss
As a woman will cry for her innocence

A bitter-sweet moment in a memory paled
Placed in a trinket box filled with hope
Silence reigns as whimsy replaces the time had
and searches for answers in tears that fall

Ghosts blunder in confusion and ignorance
Giving no closure for those left behind
Hiding between worlds , still holding on
Unable to let go o

Will give as it takes
A moment of pleasure and pain
The warmth of the sun
To rise and be done
Setting scenes that forever remain

To sigh and to breathe
Is destined to leave
Creating a gap in lives to be had
Shedding a tear
and lost in our fear
Blaming regrets on why we are sad

Breaking a heart
Then tearing apart
The solace in which we are placed
Clawing our skin
To begin yet again
Begging for love in ultimate haste

Take pity on me
See more than you see
Give me courage to keep moving on
It is but a game
To lay all the blame
On love that is broken and gone

Shaking my head
Of lost faith and dread
And

Can you See me?My tears,  they fall so silently
No one to care or comfort me
To walk alone and wonder why
I always feel the need to cry

Confusion is heavy in my heart
I sigh out loud,  and play my part
Within this game, that dulls my soul
and breaks my spirit,  which once was whole

I see no joy in every day
What once was there, has gone away
I seek,  but never do I find
What brings to me, my peace of mind

The shadows darken all my light
I seek my refuge in the night
To hide myself amongst my fears
To shed again my lonely tears..

A Soul's PassingPlace me not, within this ground
To hear no more, a mortal sound
Encumbered by earth, a twisted soul
Covered by death, in this devils hole

I scream, I cry, to no avail
A pity screech, a desperate wail
In this wretched place I be
No more to hear, no more to see

All mourners turn and walk away
Interned in darkness and forced to stay
This knoll is now my resting place
Dried tears are etched upon my face

Six feet under is now my home
No more to wander, no more to roam
A stone is laid upon my head
My body blanketed with a flower bed

Please visit me, although I'm gone
Our bodies wither, but the soul lives on

As Time Slips By..Rescue me from this sedated sleep
As time slips by in a hurried creep
Ticking away the days and nights
losing momentum as reality bites

Spinning and churning the moments past
Seeing no end but going too fast
A second, an hour or even a day
To much to do, so much to say

Taken for granted and mourned when lost
Time is a blessing at any cost
Broken promises that fall by the side
Age is a harshness we try to hide

Regrets and dreams are hidden behind
the months and years we no longer find
Stored in our memory and ticking away
uncovering secrets from whence they lay

We see and hear, but do we heed
That time's whats neede

Free to FeelThis pain I feel, though fleeting
Will mar my wounded heart
It stains a picture perfect,
and ends what we did start
A vision of what may of been,
was spied when we did part

I hear my sigh upon the wind
and close my eyes so tight
To dream within my fantasy,
A pure and sensual sight
A closeness that we crave to feel
Shredding darkness with rays of light

As humans, we are selfish
and take more than we give
we need to see our fragility
and give substance to how we live
To free what we have hidden,
Teaching souls, how to forgive

So dream I will, and give my love,
To one who may not stay
Tis better than not knowing

Winter WonderlandSnow blankets the fields that once were green
This Winter Wonderland which can be seen
Creating starkness in a shade of white
We gaze in awe upon this sight

Snowflakes drifting slowly to the ground

                     Floating softly without a sound

                     Placing shapes upon this earth

My Languid lullabyWrap me in your arms tonight
Come stay with me till morning light
En-mesh our bodies so they are one
and sate our lust till rising sun

Kiss me softly from head to toe
and find the places that you know,
will rouse me from this tousled sleep
My heart forever is yours to keep

Our love but once, so hard to find
together two souls, in space entwined
To be our bond forever more
In bliss we find our hearts to store

We linger a while before we sleep
Our words of passion in mind we keep
To remember love that holds us close
In memories when we need them most

Languid breaths within a sigh
lost in motion

A New Morning..

Temper me with a patient will,
A steady heart and words that still,
remind me of the days gone by,
Of steadfast friends and the bluest sky.

Bathed in sunshine, warm and sweet,
Of laughter true, when lovers meet
Humility will gently cleanse the soul,
if temptation tries to take a hold.

Come see the world in shades of pink.
Of purples, green and blue.
Never forget the dreams you dream.
And to yourself be true.

Walk steady while the fervor grows,
an intensity all it's own.
Seen all as one, beneath this sun
from whence the seeds we've sown.

Our steps will take, the paths we make,
and guide us to belong.
As true is fat

ObscuritySuperficial thoughts rummage through my mind
leaving unanswered questions clothed in silence
Plaintively pleading like a beggar on his knees
wanting what he knows he will never have

Recoiling backwards from the stench of poverty
and the insinuation that we are all born equal
Though it is obvious that we become a figment
of class and we only reap what we may sow

Too many times it is the bodies fallen by the wayside
that need nurturing and the comfort of hope
We may curse the unfairness of what is seen as our life,
but in reality we are fortunate to taste mortality

What we do with that privilege is totally up to us and
the burden

A Souls Passing..My tears; they fall like summer rain
Softly; as they mask my pain
I say goodbye, as you leave me now
free of hurt, as I wipe your brow

Many days, you struggled so
Whether to stay or to let go
Loss of strength, but strong until
Your body succumbed againt your will

I see the man you were to me
so full of life and so carefree
Taking in each breath God gave
Till in the end, no one could save

Forgotten, you will never be
Each day I remember and I see
What a gift you gave and shared
Your love, your smile and how you cared

So rest your head and go in peace
The pain is gone, and now will cease

Time To Heal..

I didn't think I was beautiful
No-one ever told me
and once they did
I never believed them.
My mind held me captive
in a place of denial.
Wanting to believe
but being afraid too.
A terrible place to be,
filled with insecurities
and self-doubt

As I grew older,
my outside beauty faded
and my inner beauty shone,
but left me with many regrets
and precious moments lost.
Walking me backwards,
instead of forwards
My mind in a tangled mess
of what-ifs and maybe's.
A clouded sensation of
living, but being dead as well

So here I am stuck in today,
hoping for a better tomorrow
and wishing for my yesterdays.

Stretching for miles, this blanket of white
Short are our days and long are our nights..

As gently as snow begins to melt
A warmth in the wind is often felt
Whispering high in the rustling trees
Reborn is spring on a fluttering breeze
Green replaces, what once was so white
To give to us all, a glorious sight

Remembering Still..

Take all despair, the fear and pain
Place it midst drops, of soft summer rain
Draw a deep breath and hold it within
Cleansing the soul of all mortal sin

Seeing with eyes, the beauty serene
Of moments once gone, and yet to be seen
Dew holds the beginning, of each new day
To be felt as we're blessed in every way

Simple will warm the purest of heart
Greed shows no finish, to what we may start
Temper the want, the may and the please
See what is pure, with hands we may seize

Mistakes of our yesterdays, we leave behind
existing today with kin and our kind
Forging a life, in a future to shine
A journey as seen as yours and as mine..

It scares me to think that just in a blink
Our life,  as it is,  could be gone
As strong is my heart, it could still fall apart
And here I could stand all alone

The sky although blue, has a darkening hue
And will rain with so many tears
The smile on my face, leaves a sneer in its place
Still hiding my stifling fears

Flowers will not bloom,  in a closeted room
For the light is needed to grow
Though memories so dark and feelings are stark
On the winds of change,  they do blow

You see I do feel, what once was so real
But is gone,  as the days do end
Love me please as I sing, like a bird on a wing
With mixed messages we do send

A soft lullaby's song,  that's never too long
Drift on clouds of the whitest stuff
Please don't leave me here,  to far to be near
For today is just never enough

Give me a reason,  to enjoy every season
For this life,  we are meant to live
To share what is pain,  and still we'll remain
Friends,  who are willing to give
