Remembering Still..

Take all despair, the fear and pain
Place it midst drops, of soft summer rain
Draw a deep breath and hold it within
Cleansing the soul of all mortal sin

Seeing with eyes, the beauty serene
Of moments once gone, and yet to be seen
Dew holds the beginning, of each new day
To be felt as we're blessed in every way

Simple will warm the purest of heart
Greed shows no finish, to what we may start
Temper the want, the may and the please
See what is pure, with hands we may seize

Mistakes of our yesterdays, we leave behind
existing today with kin and our kind
Forging a life, in a future to shine
A journey as seen as yours and as mine..

If only they just could

For you see, it is not easy
When I cannot deal with trust
The pain and the betrayal
Has left a hardened crust
Upon this heart that beats so dark
The scars have left their tears
No place for me to run and hide
Away from all my fears

One day, melds with another
and leaves an empty space
No purpose in this life of mine
My dreams, a forgotten place
I need to see the sun that shines
Within a friendly smile
To give me hope in tomorrow
and warm me for a while

For now, I must walk alone

Dragonflies..

A night so warm upon a breeze
Sending shivers through the trees
Breathing life within the night
Creating beauty from the sight

As many dragonflies did fly
Their splendor lighting up the sky
and floating gently to the glow
The warmth, a guide of where to go

Wonder followed the candles blaze
A misty sight in pleasures gaze
A dream she held within her heart
Until the dragonflies did part

A memory stored, to remember when
A simple thought is needed then
To place a smile upon her face
This gentle girl of calm and grace..

These Three Words

Three simple words can mean so much
Joyous to those, whose hearts they touch
Said with feelings and meaning true
A gift, thats said from them to you
In friendship or as lovers say
These words will brighten up a day
Say them often and say them loud
Sing them strong and be so proud
For those whose hearts these words will see
Will place them in their memory
For simple though these words may seem
To hear them though, is like a dream..

Lifes Bond..A promise pledged, a promise made
A life is shared, a future laid
Two to meld, where once was one
Beneath blue skies, or summer sun

So much is learnt when we do give
To guide another's life to live
Bringing joy and comfort close
In times of trouble, when needed most

Seeing from anothers view
Enabling love that can be true
Walking paths, both side by side
A smooth but sometimes rocky ride

Memories made along the way
Pressed between our night and day
To pass to family that we bear
To show them that we always care

Without, which time, within this place
would hold no meaning, or a face
To see that love does hold the key

Confusion rampant in my mind

Tempered platitudes upon my tongue
To scream unheard to old and young

As time slips by in a hurried creep
Ticking away the days and nights
losing momentum as reality bites

Spinning and churning the moments past
Seeing no end but going too fast
A second, an hour or even a day
To much to do, so much to say

Taken for granted and mourned when lost
Time is a blessing at any cost
Broken promises that fall by the side
Age is a harshness we try to hide

Regrets and dreams are hidden behind
the months and years we no longer find
Stored in our memory and ticking away
uncovering secrets from whence they lay

We see and hear, but do we heed
That time's whats neede

Come pray with me for eternal bliss
Of laughter in dreams, and love's first kiss
To hope for days of everlasting sun
Of a bright new world that has just begun
Back in time when all was clear
A world without ego, judgment or fear
Unlocked doors and pleasures of purest simplicity
Of love between Them and Us and You and Me

I laugh, a nervous laugh, a dream I know
Of hidden complexities too scared to show
I guess somewhere, somehow, it once was
Shed with tears of memories, all but lost
Resurrect me not when I am gone, to keep me with you still

Would you see me, if I was standing right in front of you?
A broken doll with her hair askew, and no reason to smile
Torn remnants of days gone by, in a flurry of wishful thinking
Plied together with the blood of my tears and no where to run
So many words within my head, but silence reigns and pity is scarce
Too much hurt tainted with insane laughter, in attics of deserted lives
with ghostly hearts scattered on the floor

Would you hold me close, if I was standing right in front of you?
Naked in my emotions, with my soul bare in its transparency
Seeking love not lust in all its duplicity, hiding behind sordid lies
Time will pass as

Time To Heal..

I didn't think I was beautiful
No-one ever told me
and once they did
I never believed them.
My mind held me captive
in a place of denial.
Wanting to believe
but being afraid too.
A terrible place to be,
filled with insecurities
and self-doubt

As I grew older,
my outside beauty faded
and my inner beauty shone,
but left me with many regrets
and precious moments lost.
Walking me backwards,
instead of forwards
My mind in a tangled mess
of what-ifs and maybe's.
A clouded sensation of
living, but being dead as well

So here I am stuck in today,
hoping for a better tomorrow
and wishing for my yesterdays.

Earths Whisper

Our name is sung upon the wind, in tunes we surely hear
With every breath the wind will blow, our destiny will be clear
The path of which our lives will tred, are long and filled with hope
Of many trials and travesties, are means of which to cope

See in yourself, what is meant to be, and who you really are
Care not for those who lead astray, and guide you to afar
The sands of time are shifting still and will for ever more
The tales of our Earths Whisper is hidden in folklore

The weathered pages of our books, are kept to show the way
From ages seen so long ago, to what is seen today
Without the land on which we live, we could not but

TICK TOCK, can you hear me..My thoughts come from a place deep inside that only another, who thinks like me, can truely understand.
I guess then, that I am destined to be alone for now, for I will not settle for anything less.
We should not have to settle persay, but we do, and we are disappointed over and over again.
Is it so unnatural to want what we feel we need?
Does it make us selfish when we hunger what we see as contentment and fulfillment?

I fight with my inner demons and struggle to face each day with exuberance and the pure joy of just being alive.
NOW.....that is being selfish.
Who am I to wallow in self pity and believe that I am not as go

My love lost..Warm traces of September
Drifting in the breeze,
Thoughts of you resurface
To bring me to my knees

I dream you right before me
The wind within your hair
A smile upon your ruby lips
Our lives without a care

But then there came November
and the rain changed into snow
It made your heart as cold as ice
and beckoned you to go

We drifted and we parted
No longer two as one
Just looking back in sorrow
At what our love had done

From what was once so special
was now a tangled mess
Regrets and angst embedded
upon my wedding dress

You left me at the altar
On that cold November day
To stand so lost and lonely
While you went so far away

Eternal Yesterday..

The touch of you still lingers,
deep beneath my skin
Creating visions of your lips
and places they have been

I smile as I remember,
your body next to mine
Longing to explore me,
our hearts and soul entwined

I sigh in adoration,
of whom I loved the most
Yet this is not reality,
For you are just a ghost

I knew you once so long ago
and yet I hunger still
My mind still living that one day;
I guess it always will

For once a heart gives in to love,
so completely will it fall
To take you to euphoria,
where time will seem to stall

I live within my fantasy
and dream of how we were
I see you laying next to me,
not leaving me for

It has me in this place,
so full of hope and clothed in grace
Shadowed not in night, but day
To lead me to a better way

It beats so steadily,
filled with love and such serenity,
Compassion etched in every thud
Bound by faith and tied in blood

To peruse with trust and see whats had
To gain, to give and share this life
In sharing pain and avoiding strife

Nothing Can Compare........

Tendrils of color dot the landscape
giving a feeling of technicolor delight
Blooms of outrageous beauty line the fields in
rows like toy soldiers
Their stems so ramrod straight and  proud

The earth in which nature flourishes
A shade of dark ochre and as rich as treacle
Trees so tall and grown with the hardship of many years
Etched with furrowed wrinkles
in the bark that covers their solid trunks
The coat of many colors made of leaves that
drip off every branch in dancing unison and
moving with the singing breeze that flows through
every space and time

A sight to behold is this land of ours

But a Dream.........Tender tears that fall like rain
mixed with the unmistakable scent of loss
No trust or a lack of honesty?
So hard to tell when all is entangled in a web
of subterfuge and lonliness

I lay sprawled like a sated tiger on a bed of nails
Feeling pain but closeted by the numbness of reality
Darkness descends like a veil of tempests freed to
reek havoc on my unsuspecting fraility
To slip deeper into this abyss of unrelenting spasms
that my mind cannot recognize and surely does not understand

Key words flash before my eyes in a hope of setting free the trigger
that brings me back from this brink of insanity

The Circus..............The hustle and bustle is here and there
Big painted posters are everywhere
Excited families line the streets
A chance to look, a chance to meet
We hear the sounds before we see
What all this commotion is going to be
Cheers and laughter is all around
Hurray the Circus is coming to Town......

Rainbow coloured clowns in funny clothes
Big smiley faces and red buttoned nose
Acrobats on horses in costumes so bright
Lions and tigers that give us a fright
Trapeze they are called as they fly through the air
Without a net and without a care
Dancing Bears and Magicians too
Elephants following two by two

Popcorn and Hotdogs and candy

IndecisionA soul I am, thats lost my way
Midst the confusion of today
No purpose or zest left in my step
Leaving me shallow, and bereft
The promise in today has come and gone
Taking the tune from within my song
