The bells rang in the distance.
A subtle echo followed by deafening silence.
I sat with my hands clasped over my ears and waited for it all to start again.
What significance does the tolling of bells have with how God came to be?
There were none ringing when he was being nailed to the cross, so why are they ringing now?
Is it a sign that we must follow like sheep when we hear them ring, or is it just a culmination of what could of been?
I have always been perplexed by faith and yet I still do believe.
In what?
I am not totally sure, but I think it is the knowledge that if I don't believe, then there is nothing at all for me.
I have to believe or I am done.
Finished.
Exhausted.
It just gets too hard if I am struggling alone without the little faith I have got.
I often wish I was more religious and had the strength to overcome my insecurities and be stronger.
As I am for others, but never for myself.
My children say I give way too much of myself, then there is nothing left for me.
My very being is about what others need so I guess that does place me in the too-hard basket and forgotten till tomorrow and then my tomorrow never comes.
That is why I need to renew my faith and believe that something poignant will happen to me before I die.
I have 3 miracles in my daughters and if I pray, then when I am gone, what was me will continue to live within them.
It is all we can hope for.

I rejoice in what meaning they toll.
Different to each of us yet similar in where they lead.

Oooooooo Religion - You touched on a controversial subject Trudie - one that is the cause of many wars and continues to do so. I do believe in God & have faith and I can even say that some of prayers have been answered , strengthening my belief even more. - I also dont think going church regularly makes you more religious than the next person - I do believe however in karma - U do bad to others you will get urs lol hehe ........ You do good to others then life is good ................
