Suffer Little Children..

Suffer little children
for what we have done.
The seeds that we've sown
from tears that have run.

Down the faces of grey
and in eyes seen so bleak.
Of mouths filled with words
that no-one can speak.

I despair when I think
of what could of been.
This life which I've lived
but still haven't seen.

My hand holds my heart
as my scream utters loud.
To be lost in the wind
midst the darkest of cloud.

The torment goes on
though we wish it would not.
You see but the children
we have often forgot.

They are tangled and twisted
and still trying to give.
Mere rhyme to this life
and pure reason to live.

No suffering of children
is what my mind aches.
A dream that is spent
in which the world takes.

To wish of a solace
that places mere peace.
In the mind of a child
as it slumbers and sleeps.

To suffer in silence is living for naught
The Pain and anxiety of companionship sought
Screaming so loud yet no sound is heard
The meanings and answers from null to absurd

Catching my breath with each gasp I take
Holding my heart for friends I forsake
Losing control but able to see
Where I once was, to where I will be

Such confusion and fear; we all walk alone
All hands outstretched lead to the unknown
Be not afraid and walk straight and tall
Hear what is said on a gentle winds call

What is ultimately wrong, can be seen as right
As surely as day is followed by night
We cannot foretell what tomorrow will bring
Only be sure of a bird that will sing

The songs in the rising of a bright new day
Step forward with purpose and lead us the way
Alone or together, with the sights we have seen
From where we will go to whence we have been..

Sense and Insanity.. My tears create a river to my ruin,
with no sense in the perplexity of emotion
that stirs and controls an eddy
in which I lose all sense of who I am.

Bitter laughter holds the taste of scorn
and the odour of all past dalliances,
that tear at my heart and leave my soul
craving that which it can never have.

My hands as cold as the ice in my veins,
seeking a warmth that eludes my every breath.
Tempests follow my every step to cast me aside
and to abandon me recklessly unto oblivion.

As a bough will bend to that which is stronger,
so will my resolve to acknowledge my existence.

to never leave your side.
Your conscience is your torment,
to baffle as well as guide.

Your reflection can be your enemy,
and yet is always true.
Integrity is the best and worst,
in who and what is you.

Courage molds your spirit,
and fear will give you strength.
Compassion opens up your eyes,
To see what's truly meant.

Confusion shrouds us in the dark,
yet understanding sheds its light.
To follow every path before us,
discerning wrong from right.

Empathy shall cleanse your soul,
and open up your heart,
to love and friendship in fellow man;
sadly though; finish can follow start.

To See.. Touch me with a gentle hand,
leaving warmth upon my skin.
Inhale my scent in softest breaths,
placing quiet with this din.

So many thoughts inside my head,
a memory within each fold.
A day, a year has passed this way,
emerging from young to old.

I shed a tear, then place a smile,
with every thought I share.
This love of life, yet pain with death,
all feelings that make us care.

We cannot plan when time will take,
or give us what we need.
So gather courage in every day,
and follow those who lead.

A tear will fall upon this page,
as I write these words to you.
For I have lived to tell you this,

Please.. Too much I say, in disarray;
These thoughts inside my head.

The places been; of future seen;
Excitement mixed with dread.

Eyes open wide, with fear to hide;
Planting hope where ever I go.

Nonsense sought and courage bought;
Easing life within the flow.

Sensing still, against my will;
That all will not be right.

But moving on, through truth and wrong;
Drawing strength from stars at night.

I laugh and cry; will live and die;
and yet I crave for more.
